Children and Adolescents

Sometimes a therapy office is not the most effective place for teenagers to open up. For those adolescents who prefer a less structured environment, or who engage best through movement I offer movement-based sessions. Since we are located in one of the most even keeled climates on the west coast this type of therapy is often done outdoors. These sessions can be catered to the adolescents own personal interests and can include things like walking/hiking, beach activities, sports, etc. I have found that incorporating movement can help kids and adults to open up more freely, can increase engagement and also gives many opportunities for us to learn and practice new skills. I also have an office space for those who prefer a more typical treatment environment. I also offer telehealth options for those who live too far away or who cannot get to the office weekly.
